I'm very happy and excited to announce the completion of the NEW AICF website. We owe our thanks to Aaron Snowberger who has diligently labored on this project. I'm very proud of Aaron for designing the site, and posting it.

The Project Briefing:
The head pastor at AICF had begun a GooglePages site to post information about the church for the local residents, and incoming foreign
teachers and immigrants to Jeonju. He wanted a place for church updates, a calendar, ministry information, bulletin details, pictures,
videos, sermons, a podcast, and blog. He wanted a professional looking site that would allow for community interaction and regular updates.
He found a CSS template which I modified, added a CSS menu to, added an alternate (widescreen) style sheet for, and then I transferred all
the content from the original site to this one.
Within the next few months, I hope to have a dynamic informational and interactive website hosted on our church server. The AICF page on our churches website has been dead for about 3 years, and I want to update it as soon as possible. Therefore, the information on my googlepage will be moved to the church site with a new and dynamic layout.
Future Community Interaction
At this time, the blog is up and allows for comments from users. However, we've used the blog section primarily for sermon podcasts up to this point. I'm currently looking into a way to allow users to post content to the blog. I'm also looking into subscribing to some RSS feeds to post news and events or pictures (from Picasa Web Albums perhaps). I've also enjoyed using Twitter on my homepage, so incorporating it into this page might be nice as well. If you have any suggestions, please drop me an email.
Content Management System (CMS)
This site currently employs WordPress as its blog which is an incredible blogging CMS. However, I've recently taken an interest in Drupal and Joomla and I'm interested in using one of those for the CMS for the AICF site. Any suggestions on which system is better? Advantages or disadvantages of either? If you've got anything to say, please drop me an email.
